About

Edison Amps are produced by ManTables. ManTables was founded in 2009 by Tom Stein. Tom has always had a passion for utility, and his wife, Julie, a love for elegance.  After moving into their first place together, Julie said that his college era beer fridge was too tacky for their first home.  Tom designed a hidden fridge that she said was still "nice, but loud." So Tom started using quiet cooling technologies, thus providing a beer fridge that if unknown would not become known. Marital bliss achieved.

The Edison Amp came about when Tom took his old Trumpet and cut the bell off and put it inside a block of Hickory. The Edison has come in many shapes and bell sizes over the time of development. The final design is the Classic Edison Amp it uses woods from Missouri and hand worked copper bell that gives is a bit of an old-time sound. The Edisons are American made using a traditional woodworkers from the Missouri Amish community.

Tom and Julie continue to live in Kansas City while not traveling,  designing new furnitures and inventions that focus on the quiet elegance of century old lumber paired with the natural beauty of exotic lumbers from around the world.

Tom and Julie want to say thank you to all our workers that make these products possible.
